Ramzi Awwad serves as Director of Public Works for the City of Rancho Palos Verdes.
Mr. Awwad joins the City from Arlington County, Virginia, where he serves as engineering
bureau chief. He originally assumed the Deputy Director of Public Works position that had
been vacant for more than two years.

Mr. Awwad brings 16 years of experience in planning, engineering, constructing, and
maintaining public works infrastructure in Virginia, Arizona, and Indiana. He holds a master
of science degree in transportation engineering and a bachelor of science degree in
engineering from Purdue University.
